Everton have been linked with a move for Jackson Tchatchoua but what might the player potentially offer the Blues side?
Football Insider report that both Everton and Premier League rivals West Ham United are chasing the right-back. Tchatchoua has only just joined Hellas Verona for £2.5million from Charleroi after they took up their option to make his loan switch a permanent move and the Serie A side could be in line to make a quick profit on 22-year-old who they could demand around £7million for.
Born in Ixelles on the outskirts of the Belgian capital city Brussels, Tchatchoua is of Cameroonian decent and made his international debut for the west African nation in their 4-1 home win over Cape Verde last month in a World Cup qualifier. A versatile performer, like veteran Ashley Young, who turns 39 today, he can operate in either full-back berth plus both wide midfield positions.
In terms of what kind of player Tchatchoua is, Comparisonator’s Similarity Comparison tool calculates Nottingham Forest’s Argentina World Cup winner Gonzalo Montiel (76%) as being the closest match among players who turned out in the Premier League last season, followed by Burnley’s Charlie Taylor – who has joined newly-promoted Southampton – at 66% and then his former Clarets team-mate Hannes Delcroix (56%). We can also use Comparisonator’s Virtual Transfer tool to correlate Tchatchoua’s statistics from last season against players already turning out in his position in the Premier League
