Confusion reigns over the destination of Everton transfer target Jaden Philogene. But the Blues have made it clear to Manchester United what they think about their latest offer for Jarrad Branthwaite.
There were conflicting reports yesterday over Philogene with some suggesting the Hull City winger has his eyes on a move to Everton while others suggested he wants Premier League new boys Ipswich Town.
What is clear is that Man United are not giving up their hope of signing centre-back Blues Branthwaite despite have a second bid rejected.
The Red Devils are also said to be considering a move for Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has been targeted by Newcastle United and has just one year left on his deal at Goodison Park. Reports suggest the striker is not intending to sign a contract extension.
Everton’s Jordan Pickford still wears football boots with the slogan ‘get the rave on’ stitched into them and England’s number one is on course to top the European Championship charts, reports the Daily Telegraph.
Should Pickford keep a clean sheet and make six or more saves in Wednesday night’s semi-final against the Netherlands, then the England goalkeeper will eclipse the save percentage of Spain legend Iker Casillas in the competition.
Pickford currently has a save rate of 85 per cent over the course of his 12 European Championship appearances, which is better than Gianluigi Buffon, Edwin van der Sar and Andreas Isaksson all achieved during their careers.
Casillas finished his career with an 87 per cent save rate from his 14 appearances in the Euros, which gives Pickford the chance to leapfrog him either on Wednesday night or over the course of the next two games if England reach this year’s final.
And, let’s not forget, we will also have any developments on Dan Friedkin’s attempted takeover of Everton.
