Oussama Targhalline contract update as Rangers line up brand new transfer.
Le Havre plans to do everything they can to convince Oussama Targhalline to sign a new contract amid interest from Rangers, according to Madeinfoot.
Writing on their website (11 July), the French news outlet reports that the Moroccan midfielder has attracted interest from Ibrox as well as French and Italian clubs.
His current contract expires in 2025 and the Ligue 1 club are desperate to convince him to extend his deal, however, they will have to work twice as hard to stop a transfer happening and an exit is currently on the cards.
Rangers want to sign Oussama Targhalline
The midfield area of the pitch at Ibrox is an area that needed major reconstruction this summer, and Philippe Clement has made that clear.
The arrival of Connor Barron is a positive and there has been interest in Norwich’s Kenny McLean too, which suggests there is more to come after that deal was reportedly called off.
Targhalline is another option to come in and bolster the choices of the manager and would compliment Barron, Mohammed Diomande and Nicolas Raskin for the new season.
But one concern would certainly be the lack of experience in those options and Clement has suggested that after the initial influx of signings so far, more experienced players are likely to come in.
That would suggest Targhalline isn’t a priority considering he is only 22, but it may be seen as a deal too good to ignore currently and with Le Havre trying to tie him to new terms they need to move quickly if that’s the decision they have made.
