Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has made clear strengthening out wide has to be a priority for Nottingham Forest in the remainder of the transfer window.
The Reds have added four new faces so far this summer, albeit one of them – Marko Stamenic – has immediately gone out on loan. But more business is anticipated before the 11pm deadline on August 30.
A few areas of the pitch are still in need of attention as Forest look to push on in the Premier League in the upcoming campaign. And for Nuno, adding to his winger options is of utmost importance.
Summer signings Eric da Silva Moreira, Elliot Anderson and Carlos Miguel all featured for the Reds against the Spireites. Midfielder Anderson played the first half and defender Moreira played the second, while goalkeeper Miguel got 85 minutes under his belt.
“All the signings we already made – and are possibly going to make – the idea is to put them inside the group, know the idea of the team and what we want from them and their tasks, Nuno said. “The levels of performance are not very important now. All of the players we sign, it is because we believe they can give something different to our squad.”
