Now that Brendan Rodgers has started Celtic’s transfer ball rolling with the signing of Viljami Sinisalo, the fans will expect more new faces to follow soon.
Kasper Schmeichel is expected to join the Hoops with a medical expected to be completed any day now and if all goes well, the big Denmark international will be Celtic’s second summer addition.
So now that Rodgers appears to have the goalkeeping position sorted, the Celtic manager now must turn his attention to other areas of the team.
One of the areas that requires strengthening is in the middle of the park, especially if Matt O’Riley moves on this summer.

Now back at Benfica, speculation surrounding Bernardo making a permanent Parkhead switch has been rife.
It seems that his arrival at Celtic is closing in have now claimed that Bernardo is set to sign a four-year deal worth close to €4m this summer.
According to today’s exchange rate, €4m converts to £3,354,400. Spread over four years, that means that the 22-year-old is set to earn close to £17,470 per week at Celtic.
I think that is a very good deal for both parties. Celtic are getting a tried, tested and trusted player and the young midfielder is getting paid what he is worth considering what he helped deliver last season for Brendan Rodgers.
Hopefully, this deal gets completed soon and Bernardo can join up with his teammates in the States as Celtic prepares for the summer tour.
