Nottingham Forest are said to be eyeing up AC Milan winger Alexis Saelemaekers.
Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has specified out wide as being an area of the pitch in need of strengthening. And according to reports from Italy, Saelemaekers could provide a solution for the Reds.
However, they are not the only English side keeping tabs on the 25-year-old. Calciomercato report the “Premier League is crazy” about Saelemaekers.
n addition to Forest, newly-promoted Leicester City and Ipswich Town are also credited with an interest in the Belgium international. All three clubs are said to have been in touch with Milan to ask for information on the player
Saelemaekers has two years left on his contract with the Italian heavyweights and is valued in the region of £8-12.5 million. It is said Milan will “listen to offers” for the wide man, preferring to sanction a permanent move rather than a loan deal.
The Belgian impressed on loan at Bologna last season. He racked up four goals and three assists in 32 appearances as he helped the Serie A club qualify for the Champions League.
Reds boss Nuno is keen to finish the summer window with sufficient strength in depth in all areas while still working with a small squad. He wants more winger options as he looks to oversee a push up the table in 2024/25.
