Jackson believes that potential investors could be looking at a cheaper deal to invest or take over the club than they would have done previously but would need people more inclined to sell up.
Speaking on the Daily Record’s Hotline Live (17 September), Jackson shared what he knows about the current situation at Ibrox.
“I think what you need is people that are prepared to sell their shares,” he said.
The feeling that I get from Ibrox and around the place just now is that guys who might have been determined to hold onto their shares might now be more inclined to think ‘if I could get rid of this and get rid of my debt’ they might be more inclined to do a deal.
“It might be a lot easier now to do a deal for Rangers than it would have been previously and it might also be a lot cheaper than it would have been.”
While the Gers haven’t made a complete mockery of themselves, the fact that the club are currently third in the Scottish Premiership, says a lot.
Many names have been rumoured to be interested in the Rangers chairman role but the one that stands out the most is Dave King.
