Leeds United defender Rasmus Kristensen is wanted on a permanent basis by Eintracht Frankfurt, as per a report by German news outlet Fussball.news.
Leeds United gave the full-back the green light to link up with the Bundesliga outfit in the last transfer window for the whole of this season.
Kristensen, 27, has since been a regular for the German club and has made five appearances in all competitions, four of which have come in the league. They are sat in 4th position in the table.
In this latest update regarding his future, Frankfurt’s boss Dino Toppmöller has said, as per Fussball.news: “Markus Krösche (sporting director) has already recognized that. He is already working on it and does not need my expertise. He also sees that Rasmus is a very important factor for us. Despite stomach problems, he fought through and played very solidly. With his energy and power, Rasmus is very important for us.”
Kristensen was loaned out to Roma in the last campaign and made 31 outings for the Serie A giants before he latest switch to Frankfurt.
The Denmark international, who has 22 caps to his name, started his career at FC Midtjylland and broke into their first-team as a youngster.
Ajax then landed him in 2018 and he spent a year in Holland before moving to Austria with Red Bull Salzburg.
