The Reds need a statement win in front of their supporters, having drawn both games at the City Ground this season. Victories on the road at Anfield and St Mary’s have assuredly instilled confidence and three points on Saturday could propel Forest into the Champions League spots.
“The City Ground is so special for us,”Nuno said. “We want to give them something back for all their support. Unfortunately, we haven’t achieved this yet this season. Saturday is a good chance to do it.
“Playing, outrunning your opponent, being compact, enjoying the game, releasing the talent that we have, giving space and time for our good players that we have. Just play the game, knowing that it is a tough opponent and we are ready.”
Despite not having lost a game yet, the Forest boss believes that his side needs to maintain consistency in order to remain towards the top of the table throughout the season.
“I always believe that there is space for improvement. What is hard in football and during the season is to sustain the level of performance that we have.
“For now, we have been able to do that with options and solutions but you don’t know how it is going to end up in the future. We don’t look much further ahead.
“Now we have a chance on Saturday. We still have a training session to prepare. I believe that as time goes by, the team and the players will gel better and play better. This is what we want and I believe time helps.”
