It will be fascinating to see how much Newcastle agree to pay for Vlachodimos but this does feel like a good deal for Forest.
The Reds are getting one of Newcastle’s most talented players, whilst in return Forest are getting rid of a player who has no future at the club.
Vlachodimos has done a professional job since arriving but at third choice in the pecking order, it makes perfect sense to offload him.
Hopefully, Forest will be getting a strong fee for the Greece international and that can help them comply with PSR.
This does feel like a transfer scenario that will benefit Forest far more than it does Newcastle and that can only be a good thing.
Vlachodimos is likely to play second fiddle to Nick Pop at Newcastle but he could get opportunities to play in the cup competitions.
As for Anderson, he will compete with a number of Forest midfielders and it will be interesting to see how he develops in years to come.
