Rangers fans maybe expected another striker in the door before the transfer window closed.
The Gers added Moroccan youngster Hamza Igamane to their ranks this summer following the departure of Kemar Roofe, with Danilo and Cyriel Dessers the club’s other striker options.
With questions now being raised over the fitness of Brazilian striker Danilo, the Gers look a tad short in the final third and perhaps Clement will rue not getting another hitman in the door.
It might also not have been for the want of trying.
Rangers were linked to a number of hitmen this summer and now one Champions League marksman is showing the Gers what they’re missing on the international stage.
Albion Rrahmani continues rich vein of form with Kosovo
Albion Rrahmani was one of the most prominent transfer links of Rangers’ summer window.
The Rapid Bucharest forward was routinely mentioned alongside the Gers, with the likes of Benfica, Aston Villa and Napoli also linked.
But after Rangers’ costly failure to reach the Champions League, Rrahmani was eventually sold elsewhere as Czech side Sparta Prague came calling.
