Brendan Rodgers may be attempting to spook potential Reo Hatate suitors by highlighting his injury history.
That’s the view of Stephen McGinn who believes the Celtic boss could be choosing his words carefully regarding the Japanese midfielder’s recent hamstring issue. The playmaker, 25, was ruled out by his boss until at least Christmas with an injury suffered against Atletico Madrid and Rodgers insisted Hatate has been ruled out more often than he’d like this campaign.
But McGinn, speaking on GO Radio, believes that could be a ploy to warn off possible buyers in the Premier League to avoid the club being tempted to sell their key asset.
