RANGERS are on the brink of clinching their sixth signing of the summer, according to a report.
Sunsport exclusively revealed Gers had thrashed out a deal with Motherwell keeper Liam Kelly last month.
However he signed a very short-term deal with the Steelmen to cover the Euro 2024 campaign where he was one of Scotland;s three keepers in Germany.
This granted Motherwell a participation payment – but Kelly will now hook up with Philippe Clement’s squad.
According to the Rangers Review the keeper has now completed his medical ahead of the move which now means the deal is all but concluded.
Kelly joins Connor Barron, Clinton Nsiala, Jefte and the returning Oscar Cortes through the door at Ibrox – with Moroccan starlet Hamza Igamane also awaited by the Gers fan-base.
Kelly replaces Jon McLaughlin as the Scottish international keeper on the books at Gers.
The former Hearts and Sunderland keeper was one of five first-team stars to leave at the expiry of their deals last month.
Rangers extended youth keeper Mason Munn’s deal earlier this week but Robby McCrorie remains on the books at Ibrox.
The keeper is expected to move in search of game-time this summer and command a fee around £500,000.
