Rangers are out in front of Celtic in UEFA’s club rankings for the coming season.
The European football governing body released their list earlier today which was topped by Manchester City, closely followed by Real Madrid based on the likes of coefficient points, continental performances and results as well as home association’s coefficient for the time.
The Light Blues are still keeping hold of points accumulated from their stunning and memorable run to the Europa League Final under Gio van Bronckhorst back in 2022 as they sit in 28th spot, two down from their rank last year of 26 as they now sit on 52 points.
They are ahead of some European heavyweights including the likes of Fiorentina, Tottenham Hotspur, Braga, Galatasary and even the club that beat them in the aforementioned final, Eintracht Frankfurt.
Rivals Celtic, meanwhile, are significantly further back in 69th on 22 points following a tough run in their last few seasons in the Champions League and further back in Europa competition. They fell 10 spots from last year’s 59 spot.
